What are grantor retained unitrusts?

Video Transcription:

A GRUT we call them, unitrust, is similar to a GRAT. A GRAT pays a specific amount per year. In other words, I transfer a million dollars and the trust is gonna pay me $50,000 a year, the million may appreciate, it may decline, but no matter what the principal is, I’m going to get $50,000 a year. That is a GRAT. A GRUT pays me a fixed percentage every year. I transfer a million dollars, it’s gonna pay me 5%, so the first year it pays me $50,000. If it appreciated to a million one, then that year would pay me $55,000. Know more about what is a grantor here.
