Rebecca G. Doane founded the law firm of Doane & Doane, P.A., in 2003 after being a senior equity shareholder in a prestigious local law firm for many years.  Under Mrs. Doane’s guidance and expertise, Doane and Doane, P.A., has achieved the highest rating (“AV”) from the premier attorney rating service, Martindale Hubbell.  Mrs. Doane is recognized as a specialist practicing in the areas of estate planning, trusts, wills estate and gift taxation, probate, estate and trust administration and guardianship law.  Rebecca Doane received her Juris Doctorate from the University of South Carolina in 1985.  She is Florida Bar Board Certified in Wills, Trust and Estates.  In addition to her law degree, Rebecca Doane is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the American Association of Attorney – Certified Public Accountants. 

Rebecca Doane is a committed member and leader of numerous other professional organizations. She is the Chairman and Founder of the Guardianship Education Committee of the Palm Beach County Bar Association, a member of the East Coast Estate Planning Council, the Martin County Estate Planning Council, the Probate and Guardianship Law Committee of the Florida Bar Association as well as the Probate Practice Committee of the Palm Beach County Bar Association.  Ms. Doane was honored with an appointment by the Governor to the Judicial Nominating Commission, Fifteenth Judicial Circuit. 

In addition to her busy law practice and full committee schedule, Mrs. Doane also co-authored a book with her husband titled “Death & Taxes, The Complete Guide to Family Inheritance Planning”, Ohio University Press, Fall 1998.  The book has proven to be a popular guide for both lay readers and legal and tax professionals as a prototype for comprehensive estate planning and wealth management.  Ms. Doane also lectures extensively to lay groups as well as professional organizations.

Rebecca Doane is a very active member of her community.  Her service to the community includes the honor of being a past president of the Board of Directors of the Center for Children in Crisis.  Mrs. Doane received an award from the Executive Women of the Palm Beaches/Volunteer Sector in 1999.  In 2000, she was honored to be named Woman Volunteer of the Year by Wachovia Bank.  She is a past president of the Board of Directors of the Palm Glades Girl Scout Council, and a past regent of the Palm Beach Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution.  Ms. Doane is a Board member and a past president of the West Palm Beach Kiwanis Club.  She is Treasurer of the Catholic Lawyers Guild.  She is currently a board member of the West Palm Beach Kiwanis Foundation and Development Chairman.  In 2004, Rebecca Doane was the honored recipient of the coveted ATHENA Award presented by ATHENA, International to individuals who are recognized for professional excellence, for service to their community and for actively assisting women in the attainment of professional goals and leadership skills.  She is currently serving as Vice President to the Board of Directors of The Friends of MacArthur Beach St. Park which is located in Palm Beach County, Florida.

Mrs. Doane shares her active legal practice with her husband, attorney Randell C. Doane.  She is a parish member of St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church and resides in North Palm Beach with her husband and their three children, Elizabeth, H. Bryan and Randell.
