Lawrence L. Davis

Lawrence L. Davis joined the law firm of Doane & Doane, P.A., in 2008 after practicing law in several prestigious law firms as well as a solo practice in south Florida. Mr. Davis' areas of legal expertise include estate planning, trust and estate administration, corporate law, taxation, business transactions and the administration of guardianships. Additionally, he is a certified public accountant.

Lawrence ("Larry") Davis received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration (BSBA) from University of Florida in 1977. He was awarded his Juris Doctorate (JD) in 1981 from the University of Florida and Masters of Laws in Taxation (LL.M.) in 1984 from the University of Miami. Mr. Davis was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1982 and became a Board Certified Tax Attorney in 1993. He is a past chairman of the Florida Bar Committee on Relations with CPAs. Mr. Davis was a member of the Probate Rules Committee from 2002 to 2008 and Chairman of the FLL Subcommittee from 2006 to 2008. He has been an active participant in other professional organizations throughout his career including American Association of Attorney-CPAs, the Greater Ft. Lauderdale Tax Council, Inc., and Beta Alpha Psi, an honorary accounting fraternity.

Mr. Davis is an active member of his community with long time involvement in several noteworthy organizations. Since 1986, he has participated in the Ft. Lauderdale Kiwanis Club of which he has held previously the offices of Director, President, Vice President and Treasurer of that organization. He has been an advocate and coach of Little League Baseball in his community as well as a member of Little League Umpire's Association. Mr. Davis is an active participant in his church and Doric Lodge #140, F & A M. He is an "aspiring" botanist - with memberships, past and present in the Bromeliad Society International (Accredited Judge), the South Florida Palm Society (Life Member and former Treasurer), the International Palm Society (Director, 2006 - 2010), the Broward County Bromeliad Society (former Director and Editor of the Newsletter), the South Florida Bromeliad Society and the American Hibiscus Society.
